Initializing Memory

Saved e-mail templates and other data are stored in memory.

Initialize memory by following the procedure below.

Note

When you initialize memory, the following data is deleted.

  • The job data saved with [Secure Print], [Encrypted Secure Print] or [Store to Printer].

  • Custom demo data

  • Form data

  1. Press (SETTING).

  2. Press to select [Admin Setup], and then press (OK).

  3. Enter the administrator password.

  4. Select [Enter], and then press (OK).

  5. Press to select [Management], and then press (OK).

  6. Press to select [Flash Memory Setup], and then press (OK).

  7. Press to select memory to initialize, and then press (OK).

    Memo

    Select from three types of memory to initialize.

    • [FLASH0: Initialize]: Initializes custom and demo printing forms, and other device information.

    • [SD0: Initialize]: Initializes authentication print data and other print data.

    • [Format Partition]: Initializes user information including [SD0: Initialize].

      Select the [Format Patition] from the following three types.

    PCL,Common,PS

    Memo

    Select from 2 types of memory to initialize.

    • [Initialize]: Initializes the range of open area of Flash (displayed on File List).

    • [Format Partition]: Initializes user information.

  8. Check that [Execute] is selected, and then press (OK).

    The "If executed, this machine will automatically reboot" message is displayed. Select [Yes] to continue.
