Printing on Long Paper

Set a paper size and paper type of the MP tray from the operator panel. Then, register a paper size with a printer driver.

Note

  • Register the paper size so that the length is longer than the width. You cannot set the length that is shorter than the width.

  • This function may not be available for some applications.

  • If the paper length exceeds 356 mm, the print quality may not be guaranteed even if the paper is used under the recommended conditions.

When printing on long paper, change the paper type setting, and use the MP tray and faceup stacker.

  1. Load paper in the MP tray.

  2. Open the faceup stacker.

  3. Press (SETTING).

  4. Press to select [Paper Setup], and then press (OK).

  5. Press to select [MP Tray], and then press (OK).

  6. Check that [Paper Size] is selected, and then press (OK).

  7. Press to select [Custom], and then press (OK).

  8. Enter "210" or "215" in [Width], and "900" or "1200" in [Length] for long paper by using the 10-key pad, and then press (OK).

    The long paper is 210 mm or 215 mm in width, and 900 mm or 1200 mm in length.

  9. Press to select [Media Type], and then press (OK).

  10. Press to select [Plain], and then press (OK).

  11. Press to select [Media Weight], and then press (OK).

  12. Press to select [Heavy], and then press (OK).

  13. Press until the top screen is displayed.

    Next, set printing settings from a printer driver.

  1. Select [Print] from the [File] menu.

  2. Click [Preferences].

  3. Select [Banner 210.0 x 900.0 mm], [Banner 215.0 x 900.0 mm], or [Banner 215.0 x 1200.0 mm] from [Size] on the [Setup] tab.

  4. Change other settings if necessary, and then click [OK].

  5. Click [Print] on the [Print] screen.

    Printing starts.

  1. Click [Start], and then select [Devices and Printers].

  2. Click a printer icon in [Printers and Faxes], and then click [Print server properties] on the top bar in the window.

  3. Select the [Forms] tab.

  4. Select the [Create a new form] check box.

  5. Enter values in [Form name], [Paper size], and [Printer area margins].

    The long paper is 210 mm or 215 mm in width, and 900 mm or 1200 mm in height.

  6. Click [Save Form].

  7. Click [Close].

  8. Open a file.

  9. Select [Print] from the [File] menu.

  10. Click [Preferences].

  11. Specify a registered paper size.

  12. Change other settings if necessary, and then click [OK].

  13. Click [Print] on the [Print] screen.

    Printing starts.

  1. Click [Start], and then select [Devices and Printers].

  2. Click the OKI ES4172LP icon, and then select [Printing Preferences] > [OKI ES4172LP(PS)].

  3. Click [Advanced] on the [Layout] tab.

  4. Click [Paper Size], select [PostScript Custom Page Size] from the drop-down list, and then enter values in [Width] and [Height].

    The long paper is 210 mm in width, and 900 mm or 1200 mm in height.

  5. Press [OK] until the print setting dialog box is closed.

  6. Open a file to print from a computer.

  7. Change other settings if necessary, and then click [OK].

  8. Click [Print] on the [Print] screen.

    Printing starts.

  1. Select [Page Setup] from the [File] menu.

  2. Select [Manage Custom Sizes] from [Paper Size].

  3. Click [+] to add an item to the list of custom paper sizes.

  4. Double-click [Untitled], and then enter a name of the long paper size.

  5. Enter values in [Width] and [Height].

  6. Click [OK].

  7. Click [OK] to close [Page Setup].

  8. Select [Print] from the [File] menu.

  9. Check that the registered paper size is selected for [Paper Size].

  10. Change other settings if necessary, and then click [Print].

    Printing starts.
