Printing Manually One by One

You can print one sheet at a time by loading paper in the MP tray.

The "Paper request on MP Tray." message is displayed on the operator panel every time you print one page. To continue printing, select [Print Resume].

  1. Load paper in the MP tray.

  2. Open a file.

  3. Select [Print] from the [File] menu.

  4. Click [Preferences].

  5. Select [Multipurpose Tray] from [Source] on the [Setup] tab.

  6. Click [Paper Feed Options].

  7. Select the [Use MP tray as manual feed] check box, and then click [OK].

  8. Change other settings if necessary, and then click [OK].

  9. Click [Print] on the [Print] screen.

    Printing starts.

  10. When a message prompting you to load paper in the MP tray is displayed on the display, press or to select [Print], and then press (OK).

    When printing a document of multiple pages, the same message is displayed every time you print one page.

  5. Select [Multi Purpose Tray] from [Source] on the [Setup] tab.

  6. Click [Paper Feed Options].

  7. Select the [Use MP tray as manual feed] check box, and then click [OK].

  8. Change other settings if necessary, and then click [OK].

  9. Click [Print] on the [Print] screen.

    Printing starts.

  10. When a message prompting you to load paper in the MP tray is displayed on the display, press or to select [Print], and then press (OK).

    When printing a multiple page document, the same message is displayed every time you print one page.

  1. Open a file.

  2. Select [Print] from the [File] menu.

  3. Click [Preferences].

  4. Select [Multi-Purpose Tray] from [Paper Source] on the [Paper/Quality] tab.

  5. Click [Advanced].

  6. Click [Multipurpose tray is handled as manual feed], and then select [Yes].

  7. Change other settings if necessary, and then click [OK].

  8. Click [Print] on the [Print] screen.

    Printing starts.

    When printing is complete, a massage is displayed on the display screen on the operator panel to prompt you to load paper in the MP tray.

  9. Press [Online] on the touch panel.

    Printing starts. When printing a multiple page document, the same message is displayed every time you print one page.

    • If setting details are not displayed in the print dialog box for Mac OS X 10.7 to 10.10, click [Show Details] at the bottom of the dialog box.

    • If the print option is not displayed in the print dialog box for Mac OS X 10.6.8, click the disclosure triangle next to the [Printer] drop-down list.

  4. Select [Multi-Purpose Tray] from [All Pages From].

  5. Select [Printer Features] from the panel menu.

  6. Select [Insert Options] from [Feature Sets].

  7. Select the [Multipurpose tray is handled as manual feed] check box.

  8. Change other settings if necessary, and then click [Print].

    Printing starts.

  9. Press [Online] on the touch panel.
