Storing Frequently-printed Documents in the Printer

Store a print job in the internal memory of the printer. When printing, call a print job by entering the password from the operator panel.

Note

  • If you cannot store the spooled data due to insufficient free space in the memory, a message is displayed to inform you that the file system is full, and the print job is not executed.

  • This function is not available with the Windows XPS printer driver and Mac OS X printer driver.

  1. Select [Print] from the [File] menu.

  2. Click [Preferences].

  3. Select the [Job Options] tab.

  4. Select [Store for Re-print].

  5. Enter a job name in [Job Name] and a password in [Job Password].

  6. If you select the [Request Job Name for each printer job] check box, a prompt is displayed to ask the job name when you send the job to this machine.

  7. Click [OK].

  8. Set other settings if necessary.

    The print job is only sent to the printer, and it is not printed yet.

  1. Select [Print] from the [File] menu.

  2. Click [Preferences].

  3. Select the [Job Options] tab.

  4. Click [Store for Re-print] from [Job Type].

  5. Enter a job name in [Job Name] and a password in [Personal ID Number (PIN)].

  6. Click [OK].

  7. Set other settings if necessary, and then click [OK].

  8. Click [Print] on the [Print] screen.

    The print job is only sent to the printer, and it is not printed yet.

  1. Press (PRINT).

  2. Press to select [Print Job], and then press (OK).

  3. Check that [Stored Job] is selected, and then press (OK).

  4. Enter the password that you set in [Job Password] from a computer in [Password], and then press (OK) to start a job search.

    • To clear an incorrect entry, press (CLEAR).

    • To stop a job search, press (STOP).

  5. Check that [Print] is selected, and then press (OK).

    To cancel the print job, select [Delete].

  6. Enter the number of copies, and then press (OK).

    Printing starts.
