Adjusting the Density (Density)

You can adjust the scan density in seven levels.

  1. Press (FAX).

  2. Set a document in the ADF or on the document glass.

  3. Check that [Fax] is selected, and then press (OK).

  4. Press to select [Fax Functions], and then press (OK).

  5. Press to select [Density], and then press (OK).

  6. Press or to select a density, and then press (OK).

    Available density settings

    +3,+2,+1,0*,-1,-2,-3

    * indicates the factory default setting.

    Memo

    [0] is the standard value. To increase the density, select [+1], [+2], or [+3] (darkest). To decrease the density, select [-1], [-2], or [-3] (lightest).

  7. Press until the start screen is displayed.

  8. Specify a destination.

    Specify a destination in one of the following ways.

    Using Direct Entry

    Selecting from the Phone Book

    Using a One-touch Key

    Selecting from the Transmission History and Reception History

  9. Press (START).

    Transmission starts.
